Through various targeted, objective approaches each child’s individual strengths are celebrated, gaps are addressed, and parents are given the opportunity and tools to engage in their child's educational process as their time and resources allow.

How It Works...

Here's how we make sure no story goes untold!

Step 1:

Exploration

Initially, we will participate in an interview to review your child(ren)’s individual strengths, opportunities and challenges.

Step 2:

Individualized Program/Process Recommendations:

You will receive a personalized summary of your child’s strengths and challenges. A customized plan will be presented to strategically address your child’s unique strengths and needs.

Step 3: Implementation

Upon review/discussion you may choose the best proposal for your child and family.

Amity believes the parent is the first, most important and impactful teacher in the home and family. Our proposals will always include a parent component that can facilitate optimal growth/support from home. Often the benefits of this component impact future children/generations.

Step 4:

Support & Maintenance

With Amity, you’ll benefit from ongoing support, expertise, and guidance along the way; from weekly summary notes, program recommendations, outside resource recommendations and incremental assessments of various types. You will soon have a much deeper understanding of your child's individual strengths and challenges, while getting suggestions for maximizing their potential along the way.

About Amity

I began Amity Tutoring after being involved with children for much of my life. I became an Educator and Reading Specialist and have the benefit of having a wide variety of educational programs and processes that I've worked with over the years.

My greatest joy has been raising three amazing adult children who have now bestowed my husband and I with six delightful grandchildren. My husband, Scott, and our children have encouraged me to begin this adventure for many years. I am deeply grateful that God has allowed me to begin

How do I know that you will be able to help my child?

Based on over 30 years of instructional practice and working with children in a variety of settings, we will work together to develop an instructional plan suited to your child's learning style and needs. I have developed a wide array of strategies to facilitate your child's ongoing progress. Weekly progress notes will keep you apprised of your child's progress.
